“So your coverage carries over for the rental car. And generally you want to look at as long as you’re in the rental car less than 30 days. The reason being is if it’s past 30 days, it’s more of a long term thing. They’re no longer considering it occasional. So if you go on vacation, you’re out of town and you want to get a rental car. Whatever coverage you have on your current policy will carry over to that. And so like enterprise or wherever you’re renting the vehicle from, they want physical damage coverage, which is collision and comprehensive. And if your policy includes that, it will carry over into that vehicle and that will allow you to waive the additional assurance that they may force you to buy.”
